The NFL sent a memo to all franchises earlier today regarding face mask usage on the sidelines.

NFL official Troy Vincent warned teams that any deviation from the set safety protocols and guidelines could potentially put the season “at risk”.
Team “must remain vigilant and disciplined in following the processes and protocols put in place by not only the league, union and clubs, but also by state and local governments”, the memo read.
Several team members not including players were seen across various NFL sidelines not wearing face masks during yesterday’s Week 1 matchups. All team employees with bench access, including team coaches and members of the club medical staff, are required to wear them.
“Failure to adhere to this requirement will result in accountability measures being imposed against offending individuals and/or clubs,” the memo said. “The face covering must be worn as designed so that it securely fits across the wearer’s nose and mouth to prevent the transmission of the virus.”
The NFL certainly isn’t messing around. We hope that teams take heed of the warning to prevent another outbreak.
