The spread of the novel coronavirus has turned the sports world (as well as everywhere else) completely upside down. But as we’re nearing the tentative return of our favorite past times, there always remains the possibilities of complications arising that could potentially threaten the upcoming season.
The National Football League is scheduled to begin training camp on July 28, and several safety protocols have been put in place to ensure the protection of all involved and to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus.
But according to a somber tweet from NBC Sports Bay Area reporter Matt Maiocco, there could be a new wrinkle in the League’s return to play protocols.
