“It’s time.”
That is how NHL great goaltender Henrik Lundqvist started off a message he posted to Twitter this morning to announce that he is retiring from hockey.
Lundqvist, who is 39, played 15 years in the NHL. He was an 11-time NHL All-Star while posting a career goals-against average of 2.43 and a career save percentage of .918.
Good luck in your next chapter, Henrik!
