Most years, there is a large volume of trades on the day of the NHL trade deadline. This year was the exception to that rule. While the days leading up to the today’s deadline were somewhat busy, there were only 12 trades today, none of which involved the Detroit Red Wings.

While the team did trade defenseman Jakub Kindl to the Florida Panthers on Saturday, general manager Ken Holland decided to stick with what he has for the most part. Head coach Jeff Blashill  revealed to Mlive.com that he is “more than comfortable with the roster.”

Here are this year’s deadline moves:

Arizona Coyotes acquire F Sergei Plotnikov from Pittsburgh Penguins for F Matthias Plachta, 2017 conditional draft pick

Carolina Hurricanes acquire D Dennis Robertson from Chicago Blackhawks for G Drew MacIntyre

Colorado Avalanche acquire F Mikkel Boedker from Arizona Coyotes for F Alex Tanguay, F Connor Bleackley, D Kyle Wood

Dallas Stars acquire D Kris Russell from Calgary Flames for D Jyrki Jokipakka, F Brett Pollock, conditional 2016 draft pick

Colorado Avalanche acquire D Eric Gelinas from New Jersey Devils for 2017 third round draft pick

Anaheim Ducks acquire F Brandon Pirri from Florida Panthers for 2016 sixth round draft pick

New York Islanders acquire F Shane Prince, 2016 seventh round pick from Ottawa Senators for 2016 third round draft pick

Minnesota Wild acquire D Conor Allen from Ottawa Senators for F Michael Keranin

Boston Bruins acquire D John-Michael Liles from Carolina Hurricanes for F Anthony Camara, third round draft pick, fifth round draft pick

Montreal Canadiens acquire F Stefan Matteau from New Jersey Devils for F Devante Smith-Pelley

Boston Bruins acquire F Lee Stempniak from New Jersey Devils for 2016 fourth round draft pick, 2017 second round draft pick

Anaheim Ducks acquire F Jamie McGinn from Buffalo Sabres for a conditional draft pick
