In what came as a shocking news update late last night, the NBA has decided to indefinitely suspend their regular season games until further notice.
The decision came after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus, which prompted the immediate postponement of last nights game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The rest of the league soon followed.
While no official decision has yet been made from the National Hockey League, the NHL Players Association has released a statement regarding the matter.
“We are in continuous contact with the NHL regarding the coronavirus and the recent announcement by the NBA,” the statement read. “These discussions will continue tomorrow morning, and we will consult with players before commenting further.”
Further information from the NHL is expected later today.
