Known affectionately as “The Perfect Human”, former Detroit Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom accomplished just about everything possible during his legendary NHL career.
But the only thing missing from his resume was scoring three goals in a game, which he accomplished in his 19th season on December 15, 2010 against the St. Louis Blues.
Re-live the memory below:
During his career, Lidstrom earned 12 All-Star Game appearances, seven Norris Trophy wins as the NHL’s top defenseman, four Stanley Cup wins, and also earned the 2002 Conn Smythe Trophy as the Stanley Cup Playoffs Most Valuable Player.
