Now we know what the mysterious puppy videos were all about yesterday!

On Wednesday, Nike dropped a Barry Sanders 20th anniversary shoe and they are amazing!

The shoes are called Nike Air Zoom Turf Jet 97 and they are an updated version of the shoe Barry wore throughout his career with the Detroit Lions.

From MLive:

Only 2,053 pairs of the shoe will be released, matching the number of yards Sanders gained during his record-breaking season in 1997. The first 250 units will be available today for in-person purchase at the Lions’ team pro shop inside Ford Field ($179), while the rest will drop online at 12:30 p.m. Thursday ($150).

That’s timed to coincide with kickoff for the Lions’ annual Thanksgiving Day game at Ford Field. They face the Chicago Bears this year, and Sanders will serve as an honorary captain. And, yes, he’s expected to be wearing a pair of the Air Zoom Turf Jet 97s as he walks out to midfield for the pregame coin flip.

“I played high school football for four years, college football for three years and professional football for 10 years, yet I have been a Nike spokesperson for 30,” Sanders said in a written statement released through Nike. “It is such a huge honor that they are bringing back this shoe in my honor, and I can’t thank Nike enough on behalf of my fans everywhere.”
