What was listed as a possibility before today’s game has now become official – the Detroit Lions have officially clinched the worst record in the NFC North.
Their 20-7 loss to the division rival Minnesota Vikings today cemented their place in the division basement. The absolute best record they can possibly finish with now is 6-9-1. Everyone else in the NFC North already has at least seven wins.
The Lions never lead during the game, and only broke the shutout in the final minutes of regulation.
