On Monday night, the Detroit Lions were shafted by an NFL officiating team captained by Clete Blakeman.
Blakeman and his crew ended up stealing a win from the Lions by making multiple calls that my seven year old son would get right 100% of the time.
That being said, we (and the Lions) are putting that game behind us and looking forward to Week 7 at Ford Field against the Minnesota Vikings.
According to Football Zebras, the Week 7 officiating assignments have been revealed and the Lions vs. Vikings game will be officiated by a crew led by Brad Rogers.
If the past six weeks are any indication, you can expect to see a lot of penalties called this week as Rogers’ crew averages 16.83 penalties called per game, nearly two more than the league average.
