On Tuesday, the Detroit Pistons had yet another golden opportunity to further solidify themselves in the Eastern Conference Playoffs and that’s exactly what they did by beating a short-handed Memphis Grizzlies team 100-93 at Little Caesars Arena.

Though the Pistons were able to come out on top, it sure seemed dicey early on as the Grizzlies stormed out to a 32-20 lead after the first quarter. In fact, the Pistons looked like they had no interest in winning the game whatsoever in the first half as they trailed 57-38 after two quarters of action.
During that first half, the fans in attendance at Little Caesars Arena let the Pistons know exactly how dissatisfied they were with the effort being made in such an important game by booing the home team.
After the conclusion of the game, Pistons’ head coach Dwane Casey was asked about the fans booing in the first half and then cheering when Detroit came back and won. Casey admitted his team deserved the booing for how they played in the first half but he also had a message for those who chose to boo.
“I heard them booing…we deserved it with the way we played. But don’t break your ankles getting back on the bandwagon,” said Casey.

I’m sure Casey will gladly welcome those who were booing back on the “bandwagon” if the Pistons make the playoffs.
