On Deck: Kansas City Royals @ Detroit Tigers

Despite deciding to sell at the trade deadline, the Detroit Tigers still find themselves in the thick of the wide open American League Wild Card race. The Tigers come into play tonight trailing in the second wild card race by 3 games. The race is currently in a three way tie between Baltimore, Minnesota, and Toronto. The Tigers remain 3 games below the .500 mark after a series split in Baltimore over the weekend. They are now 4-6 in their last ten games.

Kansas City comes into play with the most comfortable division lead out of all the division leaders.
