Only one Detroit Red Wing is worthy of 2020 NHL All-Star Game

It has been an absolutely disgusting season so far for the Detroit Red Wings.

In fact, the Wings are currently dead-last (by a mile) in the NHL with just 21 points in their first 40 games which is 11 fewer than the New Jersey Devils are second-worst with 32 points (38 games).

Though there have not been too many bright spots for the Red Wings in 2019, there has been at least one and that is defenseman, Filip Hronek.

In 38 games, Hronek, who is still just 22-years-old, has 7 goals and 14 assists. His 21 points overall ranks 4th on the team.

The NHL All-Stars have not been announced yet, but I believe Hronek is the lone Red Wing who is truly deserving of a spot.

Honorable Mention: Tyler Bertuzzi (14 goals, 16 assists)

Note: Anthony Mantha would likely be my pick had he not missed so many games with injuries.

Nation, what do you think?

The 2020 All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, January 25th in St. Louis.
