On Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET, UAB will take on BYU in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl. If you are a fan of the Detroit Lions, there is one player you should be paying close attention to he is UAB TE Gerrit Prince.
The Detroit Lions already have T.J. Hockenson (assuming they use the fifth-year option) but adding another TE who can block and catch the ball could make a huge difference on the offensive side of the ball.
Here is what draft guru Dane Brugler has to say about Prince.
One of the more underrated playmakers in the country, UAB TE Gerrit Prince (6-5, 240, No. 20) leads all FBS tight ends in yards per reception (20.5). Lined up in the slot, backfield and inline, he reaches his landmarks as a blocker and runs his feet at contact. But his bread-and-butter is catching the football in stride and creating with the ball in his hands. He is averaging a remarkable 11.3 yards after the catch, which leads all NCAA tight ends, according to PFF.
