Talk about exactly what you did not want to see if you’re a Michigan Football fan!
The Michigan Wolverines began their 2019 campaign against the Middle Tennessee State Blue Blue Raiders in the worst way possible – a fumble on the opening offensive play and giving up a touchdown, all within the first three minutes after the opening kickoff.

On Michigan’s first offensive play, quarterback Shea Patterson scrambled up the middle and appeared to get a first down, but had the ball swatted lose and recovered by the Blue Raiders. Quarterback Asher O’Hara connected with receiver Ty Lee for a 17-yard gain on the first play. On third-and-3 from the 18, the Wolverines appeared to have O’Hara wrapped up for a loss, but he escaped and dove into the end zone. The extra point conversion was good, and Middle Tennessee State had themselves the early 7-0 lead.
The Big House sure got quiet early!
