The Detroit Lions have FINALLY fired Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn and have hired Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes to replace them.
If early returns are any indication, Campbell and Holmes are going to do everything they can, not only to change the toxic culture that Patricia and Quinn built over the last three years but to build a championship team for Lions fans.
But, if you are a Lions fan and you pay attention to what the Las Vegas sportsbooks have to say, 2021 is going to be a VERY rough season for Detroit.
Sportsbooks have been releasing their Over/Under win totals for the upcoming 2021 season and it is pretty much unanimous that the Lions will be the second-worst team in the NFL in 2021 as their Over/Under is set at just 5 wins.
5 wins are obviously very low, but we also have to remember that the regular-season schedule now includes 17 games for each team, which makes 5 wins even worse.
The only team listed below the Lions is the Houston Texans, who are generally listed at 4.5 wins in 2021.
The future may (or may not) be bright for the Lions but it seems like we may have to wait at least one more year before we can really start to get excited.
