According to a report from Even Petzold, LHP Derek Holland and 1B Drew Ward have announced they have signed minor-league contracts with the Detroit Tigers.
Holland, who is 34, went 1-3 with a 6.86 ERA in 12 games (5 starts) in 2020 with the Pittsburgh Pirates. During his 12-year career, he is 79-81 with a 4.61 ERA.
Ward, who is 26, has been a career minor leaguer. In seven minor league seasons, he has batted .256.
