Pavel Datsyuk welcomes Pavel Jr. to the world!

Former Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk’s family has just gotten bigger.

Datsyuk confirmed through his agent Dan Milstein that he and his wife Maria welcomed Pavel Jr. to the world on Sunday. It’s Datsyuk’s third child, but first son. Datsyuk is already the father of two daughters, Elizabeth and Vasilisa.

Datsyuk played 15 seasons for the Red Wings before returning to his native Russia this past offseason. He has his name on the Stanley Cup twice (2002, 2008), and won multiple Selke and Lady Byng trophies as top defensive forward and gentlemanly player.

Do you think we’ll see Pavel Jr. eventually lace up the skates to play with his dad’s former team?

Congratulations Pavel and Maria!
