Round 7 – Hardy Nickerson (ILB) Illinois
This is a pick the Lions obtained from New England, which means if the Patriots were to win the Super Bowl, it could be the last pick in the entire draft. Like the Bullough pick in Round 6, this would be a pick to help the Lions linebacking group and if Hardy Nickerson out of Illinois is still on the board, the Lions should make him the “Mr. Irrelevant” pick of the 2017 draft.
Nickerson finished his final season at Illinois with 107 tackles, including 5.5 for a loss. Though this would be a pick to provide some depth at the linebacker position, you never know.
