The hope was that the 2020 Detroit Lions would go from worst to first in the NFC North but we have known for a very long time that was not going to happen as the Green Bay Packers ran away with the division.
Following their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, coupled with the rest of the results from the week, the Lions currently hold the No. 7 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
But if everything goes right in Week 17, the Lions could end up with the No. 3 overall pick for a second-straight year.
If the Lions lose to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17, and the following things also happen, the Lions will move all the way up to No. 3.
