Peter King’s latest mock draft will confuse many Detroit Lions’ fans

We are just two days away from the 2019 NFL Draft!!!

While browsing through mock drafts like it is my job (it actually is), I came across the latest mock from Peter King of Pro Football Tak and I had to do a double-take when I read who he has the Detroit Lions selecting at No. 8.

King has the Lions selecting offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor, a player who has rarely been mocked them.

From King:

Detroit: Jawaan Taylor, T, Florida

I will be surprised if the Lions pick Taylor here. The Lions want to trade out, and this is the area for the first offensive lineman—Taylor or Jonah Williams or, in what may be a stretch, Andre Dillard—to be picked. Could be Jacksonville, could be Buffalo, or it could be whoever picks at eight. (Man, I’m really selling Taylor to the Lions!) I just can’t figure out which team will jump up here. For a while I thought it was Atlanta, but the Falcons seem inclined to use all their picks, not trade a fairly high one to move from 14 to eight.

Some familiar players who were still on the board include Jonah Williams (T), Devin Bush Jr. (LB), Brian Burns (Edge), Christian Wilkins (DT), Montez Sweat (Edge), Rashan Gary (DE), and Greedy Williams.

Nation, how would you feel about this selection?
