This coming Sunday, the Detroit Lions will look to pick up their first victory of the Dan Campbell era when they host the Philadelphia Eagles at Ford Field.
It will be a fun day as former Lions CB Darius Slay is returning to Ford Field for the first time since he was traded to the Eagles.
On Wednesday, Slay spoke to reporters about his return to Ford Field and he made it clear that Detroit is his second home.
That’s my second home,” Slay said. “I’ve been there seven years. I appreciate Martin Mayhew taking a chance on me, drafting me. The Lions organization for taking a chance on me. Got a lot of family there. Built a lot of good relationships. So it’s a home visit for me, and like I said, I appreciate the fans for sure, because I’m real big in the community over there. So it’s going to be a good feeling to be back in Detroit.”
Slay also pointed out that just because the Lions are 0-7 does not mean they are a pushover.
“I know they’re 0-and-whatever they are, but don’t go in there like they some pushovers, because they’re playing great ball,” Slay added. “They’ve been playing great teams, fighting to the end since day one. So we can’t go in there thinking they’re just some pushovers, we’ve got to go ahead and take it and get this W.”
Nation, do you think the Lions will take down Slay and the Eagles to pick up their first win of the season?
