There was a near disaster at FedEx Field on Sunday, as a gate separating fans from the players tunnel collapsed and a handful of people fell to the surface below and nearly on top of Philadelphia Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. Thankfully, nobody was injured, and Hurts was seen helping the fans up and smiling with them.
And now, Hurts has penned a letter to The Washington Football Team asking them to follow up with what they’ll be doing to enhance fan safety measures so that a “near tragic incident” like what occurred on Sunday doesn’t repeat itself.
