Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond has established himself as the NBA’s premier rebounder, leading the league in three of the past four seasons and currently sitting at 8th place all time among active players. He also is leading all rebounders with an average of 18.6 so far in 2019-20.
However, Drummond believes that he’s not only at the top of the league currently, but should be listed as the GOAT.
“I think I’m definitely the best ever when it comes to rebounding. I don’t think there’s anybody who’s even remotely close to the things I’ve done when it comes to (rebounding),” Drummond told The Detroit News. “It’s really cool to hear a guy like Kevin Durant, who’s loved and valued in the NBA, to appreciate a game I take seriously with the offensive and defensive rebounding.
“That’s my knack and it’s cool to hear that he appreciates that I put that much effort and work into it.”
Of course, a former Pistons player by the name of Dennis Rodman might have something to say about that.
