On Monday, Detroit Pistons F Blake Griffin teared up as he was recalling the impact of Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

“He had his hand in so many things. Business-wise, he was just stepping into what he was planning for (the future),” Griffin said Monday. “I obviously looked up to him as a basketball, but as a human and watching him transition to that and exited the game with so much grace, it was inspirational.
“If you inspire one person, you’ve lived a positive and successful life — he inspired millions.”

Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and 7 others were killed in the tragic helicopter crash.
