Pistons F Blake Griffin calls out his teammates

It was another disappointing setback for the Detroit Pistons on Friday night at Little Caesars Arena, dropping a 110-107 decision to the Charlotte Hornets.

For Detroit, it was their third straight loss to the Hornets and third in two weeks; they now sit at a less-than-stellar 6-13 and are quickly tumbling towards the Eastern Conference basement despite aspirations of once again being a playoff team.

Afterwards, a visibly frustrated Blake Griffin openly questioned the desire of his teammates to do the work required to win.

“Right now we haven’t shown that we’re willing to do things to win,” Griffin told reporters in the locker room. “I think it’s real light in here after a win, so it seems to me we love the victory, but we don’t like the fight. You’re not going to win games like that.”

The Pistons are going to need much more fight from their players if they’re going to turn this season around and make a second straight playoff appearance.
