When news broke on Oct. 21, that Michigan freshman Franz Wagner had a broken hand, the expectation was that he would be out 4-6 weeks.
Well, it’s now almost Thanksgiving and it sounds like the Wolverines could get Wagner back for their upcoming trip to the Bahamas.
In case you missed Michigan basketball vs Houston Baptist, 111 points vs a weak opponent, Livers & Simpson 18-20 FG, 13 of 14 players scored, outstanding job contesting shots. Next up, Iowa St. in the Bahamas Wed. at 11:00. Tough competition, the return of Franz will help.

There was talk that Wagner could return for Michigan’s last game, which was this past Friday vs. Houston Baptist but Wolverines’ head coach Juwan Howard said the freshman is still working through the process of retiring.
“(Athletic trainer) Alex (Wong) and our medical staff are doing a great job helping Franz get through the process,” Howard said Thursday, “but we don’t have a (updated) timeline at this moment.”
The thought is that Franz will end up better than his brother Moritz Wagner and if that’s the case, Michigan fas are in for a treat.
