According to a report from Elliotte Friedman, former New York Islanders head coach Barry Trotz has landed an interview.
On Tuesday, Friedman reported that he is hearing Trotz is in Winnipeg to interview for their head coach opening.

This is relevant for fans of the Detroit Red Wings as there has been plenty of speculation that Steve Yzerman could be interested in Trotz as a candidate to replace Jeff Blashill.
On Monday, news broke that the Islanders had hired Lane Lambert to be their next head coach. Lambert was also speculated to be a candidate for the Red Wings opening.
