Potential Red Wings free-agent target Robin Lehner makes spectacular save during 5-on-3 PK (VIDEO)

The potential Red Wings target came up huge today!

The Detroit Red Wings have been linked to goaltender Robin Lehner in the past when the aforementioned visited with them in the summer of 2018 prior to his decision to ultimately sign with the New York Islanders.

Currently with the Vegas Golden Knights after a trade-deadline move from the Chicago Blackhawks, Lehner could very well end up on Detroit’s radar again with the expected departure of Jimmy Howard and the need to shore up the crease alongside Jonathan Bernier. He’ll be a free-agent at the conclusion of the Golden Knights’ season.

But for now, Lehner and his Vegas teammates have a job to do in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and Lehner came up huge this afternoon against the Colorado Avalanche. He came up with a superhuman glove save robbing Avalanche forward Mikko Rantanen of a power-play goal, keeping the game scoreless in Round-Robin play of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers:

This makes me want to see GM Steve Yzerman pick up the phone as soon as the free-agent period begins and make an offer! How about you?
