Predicting the Detroit Lions offensive MVP for 2021

Let's face it, the Detroit Lions are not going to be a very good football team in 2021.

That being said, I actually believe the Lions' offense will be better than the experts think as their offensive line is solid and the running game should be respectable with D'Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams in the backfield.

But, who will be the Lions' offensive MVP in 2021?

Most will say T.J. Hockenson is the obvious pick, which I get, but it is very hard for me to consider a guy who will touch the ball about 80 times (I predict 80-85 catches) on the season as the most valuable.

My prediction of who will be the offensive MVP for the Lions in 2021 is quarterback, Jared Goff.

I have made it pretty clear that I believe in Goff more than most people but this prediction does not mean that Goff is going to go out and throw for 5,000 yards and 40 touchdowns.

What I do believe is that Goff will keep the Lions in games because he will be smart with the football and limit turnovers. Look for Goff to throw for about 4,500 yards and 25 touchdowns with around 10 interceptions. If he can do that, he will prove to be the Lions' most valuable offensive player in 2021.
