The 2022-23 season gets underway this week and assuming he stays healthy, Los Angeles Lakers‘ future Hall of Famer LeBron James will break a record that will never be broken again.
James, who is 37, is entering his 20th NBA season, and after the Lakers missed the NBA Playoffs in 2021-22, you can bet he will be determined as ever to make a run during the upcoming season.
What NBA record will LeBron James break in 2022-23?
As it stands, LeBron James has scored a whopping 37,062 points. That total puts LeBron in second place behind the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who scored 38,387 points in his Hall of Fame career. (Note: Kareem played in 1,560 career games, and LeBron has played in 1,366 career games)

During his 19 seasons in the NBA, James has been named to the NBA All-Star team 18 times and it is a safe bet that he will accomplish that again in 2022-23.
