The St. Louis Blues beat the Boston Bruins back in June to take home their first Stanley Cup, but you wouldn't have guessed that on Saturday. Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask stopped 26 shots from the Blues to shut them out 3-0 in their first matchup since the championship series earlier this year.
The Blues will have the chance to rebound in Detroit today against the Red Wings.

The Wings attempted 41 shots on Friday against the Buffalo Sabres, but goaltender Linus Ullmark stopped all of them to shut Detroit out 2-0.
The Wings began the season with a record of 3-1 but have now lost seven consecutive games, placing them in 7th in the Atlantic Division.
“I thought we played a pretty solid game defensively, but we didn't score,” said Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin. “You can't win a game if you don't score.
Today's matchup between the Blues and the Wings will be the first of two for the 2019-2020 season. The next one won't be until March 31 at the Enterprise Center. They split their series during the 2018-2019 season, with each home team taking the win.
Blues center Ivan Barbashev chalked up his first career hat trick against the Wings last March and helped the Blues win their fourth game out of their last five against the Wings.
St. Louis defenseman Alex Pietrangelo is expected to play in his 700th career game today. He will become only the second defenseman and seventh skater to play in 700 games in franchise history.
Ever since Craig Berube took over the position as head coach for the Blues, they are 20-10-4 against Eastern Conference teams.
