Projecting what contract the Detroit Lions will offer S Tracy Walker

The Detroit Lions 2021 season is a wrap and though they finished with a 3-13-1 overall record, for the first time in what seems like forever, there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.

If the Lions can have a successful offseason, that light could get much brighter and 2022 could be a very interesting season.

One of the biggest offseason decisions Lions GM Brad Holmes will have to make is whether or not he wants to bring back S Tracy Walker (you can bet he wants to), and more importantly, how much will he offer him.

In an article published on Monday, Justin Rogers of The Detroit News suggests the following for Walker.

“Four years, $24 million, $10 million guaranteed.”

Personally, I am not quite as high on Walker as some other Lions writers are but I 100% hope they are able to get a deal done and it seems like both sides want to make that happen.

Four years, $24 million seems a bit high for a player who rarely makes big plays so we will see what happens.
