Red Hot Chili Peppers introduce Red Wings legend Nicklas Lidstrom at concert at Joe Louis Arena (VIDEO)

It goes without saying that former Detroit Red Wings defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom is one of the premier sports icons not only in the city of Detroit, but in the history of hockey. And his nickname of “The Perfect Human” is well deserved, considering the almost endless list of accolades he earned during his legendary career.

Chad Smith of the American rock group The Red Hot Chili Peppers is a well-known fan of the Red Wings, and during a concert at Joe Louis Arena in 2012, he introduced a special guest to the crowd, who went absolutely wild – Lidstrom himself.

How cool would that have been to be in the crowd?
