Tomas Jurco, who was the last remaining RFA with the Detroit Red Wings this off-season, has agreed to terms on a 2-year contract. That takes care of all of the youngsters with Detroit needing new contracts.

Just got confirmation on Tomas Jurco deal. It's two years at an average salary-cap hit of $900,000.

While not really given ice time up to his potential under former head coach Mike Babcock, Jurco has still managed 33 points in 99 games with the Red Wings. New head coach Jeff Blashill will be much more familiar with Jurco’s potential and skill-set, and we could see him flourish this coming season.
You can bet there will be some moves made over the coming weeks, since Detroit is over the salary cap heading into preseason.
