The Detroit Red Wings have gathered in Traverse City for training camp, and already, there’s an injury to a key member of the team.
Forward Jakub Vrana, who had just arrived back in Michigan following a visa issue, suffered a shoulder injury just 10 minutes into practice earlier today. He’ll be reevaluated tomorrow.
Jeff Blashill said Jakub Vrana injured his shoulder shortly into his first practice at Red Wings camp. Will be evaluated. Just arrived after visa issue.

Vrana was acquired from the Washington Capitals in the deal that saw Anthony Mantha go the other way; Vrana scored eight goals (four in one game against the Dallas Stars) and three assists in the 11 games he appeared in with his new club, and was re-signed to a new contract over the summer.
