The Detroit Red Wings have brought up reinforcements from the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins today, recalling forward Joe Veleno:

He's currently Grand Rapids' leading scorer, having tallied three goals in his first five games. The move was necessitated by the fact that Detroit's next two games are in Toronto and Montreal; Tyler Bertuzzi is ineligible to participate due to the fact that he's refused the COVID-19 vaccination.
