The 2022 NHL Draft has officially concluded, and all picks are in the books! The Detroit Red Wings have all nine selections officially wrapped up, having made their final two picks with numbers 201 and 212, respectively.
With the 201st pick (7th round), the Red Wings went with center Owen Mehlenbacher, a center with local ties. He most recently suited up in the USHL with Muskegon Lumberjacks, scoring 17 goals and 25 assists in 56 games played. He’ll be playing collegiately next season with the University of Wisconsin Badgers.

Finally, the Red Wings used their final selection on another center, Illinois-bornBrennan Ali who most recently played in the USHL for the Lincoln Stars, registering two assists in nine games played. He’ll be playing collegiately this fall with the University of Notre Dame. He’s also played for Avon Old Farms School with the United States High School Preparatory League.
