The Detroit Red Wings’ defense will have a season debut tonight, as Alexey Marchenko was recalled from the Grand Rapids Griffins, and is expected to play tonight when they take on the Vancouver Canucks.

He will take the spot of Kyle Quincey in the defense corps, who will miss tonight’s game with an apparent head injury.
Holland confirmed Quincey is going through concussion protocol. Will know more about Green when they get back to Detroit.

So Marchenko is in, playing his third game in three nights (two with GR) as is Kindl.

Mike Green will also miss tonight’s game, after sustaining an injury in the game against the Calgary Flames.
