Red Wings defenseman Jonathan Ericsson accidentally scores for LA Kings

Well, this certainly won’t endear him to Red Wings fans any further.

Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jonathan Ericsson has been a source of frustration for fans over the years, and this season he’s bounced in and out of the Red Wings lineup and the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins.

He was the victim of an unfortunate bounce during tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Kings that resulted in an L.A. goal.

Kings captain Anze Kopitar’s attempted pass to Dustin Brown deflected off Ericsson’s skate and past startled goaltender Eric Comrie, giving the Kings an early 2-0 lead in the 2nd period.
