Red Wings’ Erik Cole out for remainder of season and playoffs

According to Helene St. James on Twitter, the Detroit Red Wings will be without the services of forward Erik Cole for the remainder of the season. This includes any time the Wings may play in the post-season.

The Red Wings acquired Cole before the trade deadline on March 1st, and he played up until March 24th, when he suffered what was then considered just an “upper-body injury”. In 10 games with Detroit, Cole put up 3 goals and 6 points.
