Red Wings fans react to Mike Babcock firing by Toronto (and plenty want him back here)

Fans of the Detroit Red Wings had plenty to say on social media after the announcement of former head coach Mike Babcock’s firing by the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Red Wings better start pulling out all the stops to get Babs back. I wasn’t a huge fan of him as a wings coach during his tenure. But I didn’t realize Blashill was so bad at coaching. Makes me just want to get Babs back.

I wonder if the Red Wings will take a long look at Mike Babcock for 20-21 season.

Steve Yzerman, and Babcock have worked together in Detroit, and past Team Canada Olympic teams.

Jeff Blashill, wasn't his hire.
