Two shots, two goals!
That was the story for gritty Detroit Red Wings forward Adam Erne, who had yet to light the lamp in his first season with the team since coming over from the Tampa Bay Lightning this past summer.
He beat Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Joonas Korpisalo with a quick snapshot after completing a give-and-go passing play with forward Frans Nielsen…safe to say he was pretty happy!

His second goal was the result of a broken play; defenseman Madison Bowey fired a shot on net that was deflected right to Erne at the side of the goal by teammate Luke Glendening. Erne had the wide open net to fire at, and he made no mistake:
