Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jonathan Bernier had himself a night!
The French-Canadian goaltender turned in 42 saves against his hometown team, helping the Red Wings to a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. He made several key saves during the contest, losing out on the shutout with less than a minute remaining in regulation.
However, there were none bigger than this third period robbery of Nick Suzuki.

Jonathan Bernier vient de voler un but à Nick Suzuki sur la meilleure séquence du #CH depuis le début du match. Si Les #Wings obtiennent un premier jeu blanc cette saison, ce sera tout à l'honneur de Bernier…

Translation: “Jonathan Bernier has just stolen a goal from Nick Suzuki on the best streak in #CH since the start of the match. If The #Wings get their first shutout this season, it will be to the credit of Bernier.”
His sprawling glove save preserved Detroit’s 1-0 lead. Great save, Bernie! #LGRW
