Red Wings grounded by Jets, losing streak now at 12 games

The nightmare continues.

The Detroit Red Wings dropped their 12th consecutive game with a 5-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets at Belle MTE Centre.

The game was tied 1-1 as the second period wound down, but Winnipeg would score three times in a span of two minutes to break the game open.

Christoffer Ehn scored the lone goal for Detroit. Goaltender Eric Comrie made 25 saves on 30 shots in his first start for Detroit since being acquired from Arizona in late November.

The two teams will meet again at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Thursday.
