For their last handful of home games, the Detroit Red Wings were trying out a….different goal celebration.
Immediately after the Red Wings scored, the lights at Little Caesars Arena all were dimmed down to black while the spotlights swirled around for several seconds. And now, it looks like things are more back to a traditional look.
No such dimming of the lights took place after Darren Helm's breakaway goal in the first period of tonight's game against the Winnipeg Jets:
