The Detroit Red Wings have made a roster move today, as they have recalled goaltender Jimmy Howard from the Grand Rapids Griffins following his rehabilitation assignment.

Howard has been out since suffering a knee injury on December 20th against Tampa Bay.
Though he left Wednesday’s Grand Rapids game against Manitoba after aggravating the scar tissue in his injured knee, he’ll remain on injured reserve until he’s fully recovered.
Howard joined the Red Wings in Columbus ahead of their game against the Blue Jackets on Saturday, though isn’t expected to start skating until Monday. He also reported no discomfort while walking.
