The Detroit Red Wings first overall draft selection from 2018 will see his first NHL action coming up shortly.
The team has announced they’ve recalled forward Filip Zadina from the Grand Rapids Griffins.
The Detroit #RedWings today recalled right wing Filip Zadina from the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins and placed defenseman Mike Green on injured reserve retroactive to Nov. 19.

Zadina has appeared in 19 AHL games for the Griffins this season, recording seven goals and 13 points. In nine games with the Red Wings last season, he scored a goal to go with two assists.
Additionally, the team has placed defenseman Mike Green on IR, retroactive to November 19.
