The Detroit Red Wings have released their 2016 training camp roster. Camp begins September 23 at Center Ice Arena in Traverse City, MI and runs through the 26th.
They won’t have their full roster available until the conclusion of the World Cup of Hockey. Justin Abdelkader, Dylan Larkin, Frans Nielsen, Tomas Vanek, and Petr Mrazek will be joining Detroit once the tournament ends or their teams are eliminated. In the meantime, Detroit is bringing 36 forwards, 19 defensemen, and seven goaltenders to Traverse City.
Detroit’s first pre-season game is September 27th at Joe Louis Arena against the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins.
