Video: Red Wings’ Sheahan Blasts Home a Rocket

In the Detroit Red Wings’ 3-1 win Saturday night over the Arizona Coyotes, neither team was able to break through the defense of the other for roughly half the game. It’d be halfway through the second period, on a power play, when the Red Wings finally got themselves on the board. A turnover at the Coyotes’ blue line would be corralled by Tomas Tatar, and then shoveled cross-ice by Pavel Datsyuk. Riley Sheahan waited as the puck skittered towards him, and blasted a rocket one-timer at goaltender Mike Smith, and beat him top-corner for the Wings’ first of the night, and his 9th of the season.
