Red Wings sign Dylan Sadowy to three-year deal

The Red Wings have announced the signing of Dylan Sadowy to a three year entry-level contract today. This comes less than a week after the Red Wings acquired him from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a third round draft pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

Sadowy was recognized by the OHL’s annual coaches poll in the past two seasons, being named third most dangerous in the goal area, second best penalty killer in the OHL’s Western Conference, and third best shot blocker in the OHL’s Eastern Conference.

In 258 career OHL games with the Saginaw Spirit and Barrie Colts, Sadowy has scored 116 goals to go with 72 assists (188 points), along with 245 penalty minutes and a plus-23 rating. He also represented the OHL at the 2015 CHL Canada-Russia Series this past November.
